Helping Hands, Safe Homes: A Heartfelt Mission in Action
At Hometown Missions, we believe that no act of kindness is too small. Whether it’s building an entire home in a month or making simple modifications to improve safety, every effort counts when it comes to helping our neighbors in need.
Recently, we had the opportunity to lend a hand to our dear friends, Lisa Patten and her mother, Bettye. They reached out with a request for grab bars to be installed in their shower, a small but vital improvement that enhances safety and peace of mind. Darcy LaVeau answered the call without hesitation, bringing the tools, skill, and heart needed to get the job done.
For many in our community, simple home modifications like grab bars, ramps, or handrails can make all the difference in maintaining independence and security. At Hometown Missions, we are honored to assist with projects both great and small, because we know that even the smallest acts of service can have a big impact.
A huge thank you to Darcy for stepping up and ensuring Lisa and Bettye have a safer, more comfortable home. And thank you to our Hometown Missions supporters and volunteers who continue to answer the call to serve.
If you know someone who could use a helping hand, or if you’d like to join us in making a difference, reach out today! Every project is a step toward a stronger, more connected community.
