More cleanup from the Ice Storm of 2023...

Roy and Zulema Cordova have lived in Dripping Springs for a very long time. They know everybody and everybody knows them. A family member reached out to Hometown asking if we could help them with their home. Roy and Zulema still had broken and downed tree limbs on top of their forty-five plus year old trailer home. Hometown Missions gladly accepted the opportunity to serve these neighbors and to make the home safe by removing the tree limbs on top of the home, and to prevent any future issues, by pruning some big and potentially damaging limbs over the home as well. Over a dozen volunteers signed up and tackled some pretty intense tree cuttings over and around the home without damaging the fragile roof any further. In addition, after seeing Zulema’s struggles with getting in and out of her lounge chair, Hometown Mission reached out to our friends and partners The Friends Foundation. This wonderful organization that serves the elderly in Dripping Springs, donated $1400.00 to purchase a power lift lounge chair that can assist Zulema with getting in and out of the chair. So much gratitude to all the volunteers and The Friends Foundation for stepping up to help these neighbors in need.
