Mr. Panda's Shower Project

In December of 2023 St. Vincent de Paul contacted Hometown Missions regarding a well-known carpenter and contractor in Dripping Springs needing some help finishing a shower in his home. Manny Hernandez aka “Panda” has lived and worked in Dripping Springs for almost 40 years now. A recent accident that has really impacted his mobility and made completing an accessible shower he had been working on not possible. Hometown Missions met with Manny and assessed the needs of this neighbor requesting help.

To ensure proper installation, with no leaks, or other issues, Hometown reached out to professionals with caring and serving hearts for this project. Sun Tile Corporation and Mighty Mike Plumbing are two wonderful and outstanding partners that Hometown Missions can count on to help us assist neighbors in need. In addition, Hometown Missions reached out to The Friends Foundation, who know Panda very well, to assist and collaborate on this project. After the holidays and working with Panda’s schedule due to many doctors visits the walker accessible shower is finally complete.
